Willkommen – schön, dass ihr dabei seid!
Ohne euch gäbe es keinen Tag der offenen Tür. Punkt. Ihr seid es, die mit Forschung, Technik, Daten, Organisation, IT, Verwaltung und ganz viel Know-how zeigen, was GEOMAR eigentlich macht – und warum das wichtig ist.
Am 30. August 2026 öffnen wir von 11–17 Uhr am Standort Ostufer (Seefischmarkt) die Türen für die Öffentlichkeit. Dann dürfen Besucher:innen hinter die Kulissen schauen, Fragen stellen, staunen, anfassen, zuhören – und erleben, wie vielfältig Ozeanforschung bei uns ist. Infostände, Vorträge, Großgeräte, Neubau, Bibliothek, Fördeblick: alles dabei.
Der Tag der offenen Tür ist Teil des Stadtteilfests „AHOI Ostufer: Fisch, Forschung und Vergnügen“. Weitere Informationen dazu findet ihr hier.

Neu in diesem Jahr:
Die gesamte Anmeldung und Organisation läuft über Indico. So möchten wir die Anzahl der E-Mails deutlich reduzieren und euch gleichzeitig die Möglichkeit geben, eure Angaben selbstständig zu pflegen und anzupassen. Bitte füllt das Formular sorgfältig aus – euer Zukunfts-Ich und das Orga-Team werden es euch danken.

Without you, there would be no Open Day. Period. It is you who, through research, technology, data, organization, IT, administration, and a great deal of expertise, show what GEOMAR actually does – and why it matters.
On August 30, 2026, we will open our doors to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ostufer site (Sea Fish Market). Visitors will be able to look behind the scenes, ask questions, marvel, touch, listen – and experience just how diverse our ocean research is. Information stands, talks, large-scale equipment, the new building, the library, and views over the fjord: it’s all included.
The Open Day is part of the district festival “AHOI Ostufer: Fish, Research and Pleasure.” Further information is available here.
For organizational matters, we have also set up an FAQ page, which will be updated regularly.

All registration and organization will be handled via Indico. This helps us significantly reduce the number of emails and at the same time gives you the opportunity to manage and update your information independently. Please fill out the form carefully – your future self and the organizing team will thank you.
