Environmentally-friendly & sustainable events
The Organising Team tried hard on reducing environmental impacts caused by an event of this size. However, with this many participants there will always be negative effects on the environment – e.g. unavoidable CO2 emissions caused by travelling, more food and rubbish, etc. Therefore, nothing is perfect, but we hope that with the following measures to minimize the ecological footprint the events are causing and being socially responsible:
We asked the catering company supporting the venues to avoid any plastic, such as disposable cutlery, dishes and unnecessary packaging and wrappings and to use regional products.
We try our best together with the venues and caterer to separate and recycle the waste and garbage produced during the conference.
Posters and signs not used after the conference will be sponsored to Kindergartens for arts and crafts.
The name badges will be reused, so please deposit them in the bins provided in the registration area at the end of the CDRmare and CDRterra events.
