POSTPONED - GEOMAR Digital Twins of the Ocean day

The IRF Digital Twins would like to announce a symposium on research with "Digital Twins of the Ocean". The event on May 8th 2024 has to be postponed until further notice.

The main objectives of the symposium are to:

1. Facilitate community building and collaboration across disciplines covering physical, chemical, biological, and geological processes, as well as economic sociologic, governance and policy topics 

2. Identify the scientific rationale for future science activities revolving around Digital Twins of the Ocean, e.g. in the context of FUTURO

3. Opening up the Integrative Research Focus (IRF) on Digital Twins of the Ocean to the entire GEOMAR science community.

We invite all participants to share their views on DTOs in an informal fashion. This event is specifically a chance for Early Career Researchers (ECR) to get a better overview about this topic and to generally encourage interdisciplinary work.
