We would like to announce a GEOMAR/CAU symposium about exciting “Research on Coastal Upwelling Systems” on 27th November 2023 at GEOMAR between 13:15 and 18:00 pm. The two main objectives of the symposium are to:
1. Facilitate community building and collaboration across disciplines covering physical, chemical, biological, and geological processes, as well as economic sociologic, governance and policy topics
2. Identify the scientific rationale for future science activities revolving around Coastal Upwelling Systems
The symposium lasts half a day and takes place in the brand-new building of GEOMAR! This is specifically a chance for Early Career Researchers (ECR) to get a better overview about this topic and to generally encourage interdisciplinary work. In order to better network and further develop the existing research ideas, refreshments will also be provided!
If you are thinking about giving a talk, please consider that the audience will be all of GEOMAR/Kiel University (not just from your field of science) - so make everyone understand what you are talking about! Maybe you can get some inspiration from this year's GEOMAR science day.
