RECOVER Project

Declaration of Consent according to Art. 13 GDPR

The GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel is a publicly funded research institution and coordinator of the RECOVER project. As part of RECOVER's stakeholder engagement, we collect and process personal data from registration and participation in project activities.

1.   By registering for the event, I agree that my personal data provided upon registration for and participation in the RECOVER - Annual Advisory Board & Network Partner Meeting on 24th September 2026 — namely my name, institutional affiliation, contact details, and my verbal and written contributions (e.g. discussion input, chat comments) — may be collected and used by GEOMAR for organising the activity and for non-commercial scientific, reporting, and project-documentation purposes within RECOVER.

2.   The data is stored on GEOMAR's GDPR-compliant institutional servers.

3.   GEOMAR may pass on this data only to RECOVER project partners, and only for non-commercial scientific or reporting purposes connected to the project. Reports made publicly available will be anonymized.

4.   Contact data will be deleted or anonymised at the end of the RECOVER project (30 September 2028); signed consent forms are retained for 5 years thereafter for audit purposes.
