We are excited to announce the launch of the MarDATA Online Lecture Series: Introduction to Marine Sciences. This weekly online event is designed to introduce diverse world of marine science disciplines.

When?
Every Tuesday 14:00-15:30, join us for a new lecture from scientists across the broad spectrum of marine sciences.

What to Expect?
Each session will include:

  1. A general introduction to the respective field – its scope, relevance, and key questions

  2. The current state of research, including emerging challenges and the "next big thing"

  3. The data lifecycle specific to the discipline – from collection to interpretation

  4. The role of Data Science – current needs and innovative approaches for applying data-driven methods

 

Whether you’re new to marine sciences, a data scientist curious about applications in the field, or a student seeking interdisciplinary insight, this lecture series offers valuable perspectives at the intersection of marine research and data science.
