OSIS – Ocean Science Information System - is GEOMAR’s research metadata information system. It is designed for sharing (meta-)data information within your project and beyond and keeping track of them along the data lifecycle. Thus it provides support for you as researcher fullfilling the FAIR requirements.

This OSIS workshop provides first steps within OSIS. We will focus on the basic features:

• How to register in OSIS

• Obtain an overview of the platform – Search functions

• The “CONTEXT” Concept for connecting different sets belonging to the same context

• Sharing data with your CONTEXT members

• Set-up and use of Expedition and data deliverables

• How to link your work to your publications in OceanRep

• How to make data publications visible

By signing in for the workshop, we will register you in the OSIS system, which allows you to get familiar with the interface in advance. 

Terminal stations are provides, however feel free to bring your own laptop
