The FYORD Summer School on “Diving Into Change: Exploring Marine Carbon Storage and Removal to Mitigate Climate Change” aims to explore this important climate change topic through the lens of a variety of disciplines, allowing even those with existing knowledge to deepen their understanding and challenge themselves to think beyond their traditional approach.
The scientific base of marine carbon storage and marine carbon dioxide removal will be explored in interactive sessions offering a solid understanding on how these technical solutions propose to tap into the potential of the ocean to remove and/or store carbon. The summer school also dives beyond natural science to explore the socio-economic considerations surrounding the topic. Whether you are a natural scientist or a social scientist, everyone is bound to learn!
The Organizing Team:
- Tony Cabus (Law)
- Abed El Rahman Hassoun (Chemical Oceanography)
- Mariana Hill (Biogeochemistry)
- Arnab Muhuri (Geography)
- Amavi Silva (Biogeochemistry)
Feel free to contact the Organizing Team with any questions, or contact Christine Haunhorst at info@fyord-program.de.
The summer school program will be regularly updated on the FYORD website.
The summer school is sponsored by FYORD. Participation includes excursions, accomodation (if needed) and basic catering.
All participants will get an official invitation and a certificate of participation.
