Join us at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) in Bremerhaven for a two-day retreat dedicated to advancing our understanding and collaboration in marine data science. The MarDATA Retreat is a perfect opportunity for our community to come together, share knowledge, and foster the innovative spirit driving our research.

During the retreat, participants will explore the latest updates from our active doctoral researchers, highlighting cutting-edge projects and findings that are shaping the field. 

We are happy to welcome Prof. Stefan Oehmcke, who will introduce the work of his research group "Visual and Analytic
Computation of Ocean Technologies (VACOT)" at the University of Rostock. 

In addition, Dr. Ing Pawandeep Kaur Betz (DLR) will intorduce her VESA, a Visualisation Enabled Search Application.
