MULTI-MAREX Kick-Off Meeting

4th and 5th June 2024

Dear MULTI-MAREX partners and stakeholders!

We are pleased to announce the inaugural meeting and the launch of our DAM Project MULTI-MAREX. This is an important milestone in our joint MULTI-MAREX journey towards advancing the understanding of extreme marine events and natural hazards in the Central Mediterranean.

The kick-off event provides a platform to engage with the different working groups and stakeholders and to get to know their expertise.

Our meeting aims to foster co-design, collaboration and knowledge exchange. The sessions will cover the latest project news, initial results and technological advances. We have scheduled ample breaks for networking, because as we all know, synergies are best developed over a coffee!

Registration is now open and we kindly ask the MULTI-MAREX partners and their groups (PhD/PostDocs/et al.) and all stakeholder participants to register via this website. Principal investigators should present their work packages and working groups in a 15-minute oral presentation.

Below you will find additional information about the agenda, topics to be discussed, and logistical details to assist with your planning. We have coordinated the start and end times of the meeting with the train schedule to/from Kiel as best as possible. It is advisable to book hotel rooms early

We have allocated a contingent of rooms at Hotel am Segelhafen (adjacent to the meeting venue). Codeword for the reservation is MULTI-MAREX and reservations are possible until: 15th April 2024.

We look forward to welcoming you in Kiel!

With kind regards,

Heidrun Kopp
