Strong collaboration is key to reaching our project goals. Ocean observation is a highly transdisciplinary field, and working together successfully means being open to different perspectives, needs, and scientific languages.
With 16 partners from across Europe and beyond, networking is at the heart of our project. The annual meeting is designed to bring people together in both formal and informal ways, creating space for exchange, discussion, and new connections that last beyond the project itself.
Throughout the meeting, we have planned plenty of opportunities to connect, including relaxed coffee breaks and shared activities. These range from a networking cruise and a guided tour of GEOMAR to canoeing as a team-building activity. Spending time together - especially on the water - helps create a shared experience and encourages open conversation.
As our host, GEOMAR will introduce its research environment and highlight opportunities for collaboration during the institute tour. The poster session and panel discussion are open to the wider institute, offering a chance to connect beyond the project consortium. Plenary sessions will be held in a hybrid format, allowing off-site partners to join and helping to showcase the project to sister projects and a broader audience.
