Abstract
While the influence of glacial/interglacial climate variability and the origin of orbital-scale climate variability is often assessed in marine records, also higher-frequency oscillations influence ocean dynamics.
I will provide a brief overview of some processes behind climate variability and sediment transport into the Oceans, and will put emphasis on half-precession cycles with ~10 kyr duration. Focus of this talk will be the Atlantic realm.
